Flag Retirement Ceremony @ Brandywine Battlefield Park

Please join us for our Veteran’s Day Flag Retirement Ceremony in partnership with the Brandywine Battlefield Park. At this event, we retire flags collected from Chadds Ford residents over the past year in a formal flag retirement ceremony. Joining us will be local American Legion Posts and Boy Scout troops. This is a moving and educational event demonstrating traditional flag folding, flag burning and commemorations. 

We invite all veterans to join us! 

In honor of Veterans Day on Tuesday November 11th, please join the Chadds Ford Township Residents Association and the Brandywine Battlefield Park Associates in an American Flag Retirement Ceremony on the hill adjacent to Washington’s Headquarters at Brandywine Battlefield Park.
